Everyone working on site must complete a site induction

2. Stress, Fatigue & Emotional Wellbeing
  • Stress and fatigue are as real and important as any physical hazard. Recognizing and addressing these issues is a strength. It is crucial that our workers feel encouraged to speak up and feel supported by the company.

3. Smoking
  • Smoking, including vaping is forbidden in all closed in workspaces.

4. Drugs & Alcohol
  • Being under the influence, consuming and possessing drugs & alcohol is strictly prohibited.

5. Phones
  • Mobile phones can only be used with a handsfree system or when vehicle or machine is at a complete stop in a safe area.

​Emergencies​
1. Environmental
  • During an emergency stay calm and follow all instructions from the Team leader. You may be asked to evacuate the site so familiar yourself with the location of emergency assembly area.

  • If you are first on the scene or first to see an emergency. First ensure your safety then immediately call the team leader on the RT Channel 7. Calmly tell the team leader your location and the type of emergency. Do not give any specific details like names, etc. on the RT.

2. Medical
  • If you are first on the scene or a medical emergency. First ensure your safety then immediately call the team leader on the RT Channel 7.

  • Calmly tell the team leader your location and the type of emergency. Do not give any specific details like names, etc. on the RT.

  • If safe to do so administer 1st aid.

3. Site Evacuations
  • All incidents including near misses must be reported to the team leader.

  • You must help the site supervisor to accurately report the incident. This may include taking photos and filling in forms.

4. Incident & Near Miss Reporting
  • All incidents including near misses must be reported to the team leader.

Communication
  • All personnel, trucks, vehicles, and machinery entering the yard must carry an RT on Channel 7. If you do not have an RT report to the office where you will be issued an RT while you are on site.

Personal Protective Equipment​

Everyone outside in the yard must be wearing the following standard PPE:

  • Hi Vis safety helmet

  • Hi Vis vest or top

  • Safety footwear

  • Task specific PPE must be used in addition to the standard PPE.
